2025 Tackle Football Registration
Registration for the 2025 Tackle Football season is now OPEN for all players ages 7–14. PJFL Tackle Football focuses on teaching fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun, safe, and competitive environment. We also have payment plans available.
- Practice Begins: July 14th, 2025
- Placement: Players are placed on teams based on birthdate, weight, and experience — not by school grade or buddy/coach requests.
- League: PJFL Hawks Tackle Football proudly competes in the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer Conference (EBYFC) and follows all EBYFC rules, including the Older Lighter Rule.
Registration & Fees
- Age Levels: 7–14 years old (all skill levels welcome!)
- Registration Fee: Fully refundable (minus a 10% processing fee) up to the first day of practice, July 14th, 2025.

When you register for PJFL Tackle Football, you’re not just joining a team — you’re becoming part of the Pleasanton Hawks family! All tackle football teams in our league proudly compete under the Pleasanton Hawks banner, representing our city in the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer Conference (EBYFC).
Look for the Pleasanton Hawks logo on your jersey and gear — it stands for community pride, teamwork, and a commitment to youth sports done right.
Certification Requirements for Pleasanton Hawks Tackle Football
When you play tackle football with PJFL, you’re proudly part of the Pleasanton Hawks — our tackle teams compete under the Hawks banner in the East Bay Youth Football & Cheer Conference (EBYFC). We joined the EBYFC in 2021 to give our athletes the best competition experience possible while staying true to PJFL’s mission of building confident, respectful young athletes. Think of the Hawks as the tackle football side of PJFL!
National Sports ID Certification
Every tackle athlete MUST be certified through National Sports ID (NSID) to participate in practices and games — no exceptions. NSID helps ensure player safety, age/grade verification, and fair competition across the entire EBYFC.
How to Certify:
Please take a few minutes to get your child certified:
✅ Go to National Sports ID
✅ Create an account and add your athlete
✅ Complete the 3-step process to verify their eligibility
Required Documents for NSID:
- Headshot photo of your child
- Birth certificate, passport, or state-issued ID
- Report card or school document showing current grade
- Medical release or sports clearance from your doctor, dated within the last 2 years and valid through the 2025 season
Athletes cannot participate without a current certification. Weekly NSID checks are performed to ensure eligibility for every game.
About the EBYFC
The East Bay Youth Football & Cheer Conference (EBYFC) is one of the premier youth football leagues in Northern California. It brings together top teams across the East Bay to compete in an organized, safety-focused, and community-driven environment.
The EBYFC includes two levels of play:

Premier Division — Highest level of competition (includes Pleasanton Hawks)

Champion Division — Novice level, focused on development
Member organizations include Clayton Valley, East County Lions, Fremont, Hayward Aggies, Milpitas Knights, NorCal Wolverines, Pleasanton Hawks, Pleasant Hill Falcons, San Ramon Bears, San Ramon Thunderbirds, Livermore Bulls, Martinez, Mountain House Stallions, Supreme Team Antioch, Oakley Jr. Falcons, Concord Jaguars, and San Leandro Crusaders.
