When is Cheerleading registration?
Cheerleading registration is now open. You can register at http://www.sportability.com/spx/leagues/client.asp?ClientID=135.

When and where will uniform fittings happen?
Uniform fittings will be held at Party Bee's in Mid May.

What is the cost for Cheerleading?
The Cheerleading cost is $250.00 per cheerleader. Included in the registration fee will be a complete uniform (v-neck shell, pleated skirt, socks, spankys and poms) and new this year...practice shorts, shirt , duffle bag and a bodyliner for cold days. Also snack bar tickets for all games.

What are the age and grade requirements?
Must be entering the 3RD Grade in the fall of 2008. All girls who register for PJFL Cheerleading will make a team. Cheerleaders will be placed into teams based on experience and abilities. We encourage girls that are willing to make the commitment to learning cheers/dance routines and that will attend weekly practices/games.

We cannot guarantee that your daughter will be on the same team as your son's football team. It all depends on how many girls we have sign up, their experience and other factors that weigh into that decision.

Could my cheerleader be cut?
No cheerleader is cut, every player is assigned to a team.

When does the season start?
Newcomers "Newbies" will have an earlier start with an extra 2 weeks of practice with Jr. Coaches. Newbies start on Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 10, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and the following week on Wednesday, July 16 and Thursday, July 17, from 6:30 -8:00 p.m.

Returning girls and Newbies will start practicing together when they "merge" on Wednesday, July 23, and will continue practicing 2 times a week through August on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 -8:00 p.m.

After school starts, practice will be on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00p.m. until mid October. Cheerleaders will learn a halftime dance routine and will learn cheerleading techniques, cheers and chants frequently used at Amador and Foothill High Schools.

There will be a mandatory Cheer Camp (hopefully on the first Saturday in August), that has not been confirmed yet...

Games are every Saturday and will begin on September 6th. There are 9 games and an All Star game. Our Season ends mid-November.
